A deposit or full payment may be taken at the point of purchase (for example Tours, Workshops or prints) which is non refundable, except in circumstances when the item or service is cancelled by Lawrence Eagling (e.g. through illness of Lawrence Eagling, poor weather etc). Any service or goods purchased are subject to a 14 day grace period within which an order (along with returned items) or services can be cancelled where any payment made will be refunded.
Any cancellation must be made in writing by email or post.
No responsibility is accepted by Lawrence Eagling for clients who are unable to attend workshops/tours due to (but not limited to) illness, flight cancellation or other extenuating circumstances. In case of unavoidable circumstances, Lawrence will try to transfer any workshop/tour ticket holders to alternative dates where possible. As attendance on booked tours is the responsibility of the client it is highly recommended that appropriate insurance is taken out.
Lawrence Eagling reserves the right to cancel any workshop/tour etc. Cancellations will be subject to a full refund of the workshop/tour fee, however flights and other bookings made by the client will not be refunded. Cancellation will only occur due to force majeure, long in advance of the start date subject to under booking or due to serious illness. It is advised that appropriate insurance is sought to cover cancellation.
Photographic workshops/tours are highly susceptible to weather and other factors and as such are subject to appropriate alterations in content. For this reason the outline itinerary and the workshop description must be taken as an indication of what may take place on the workshop, and not as a contractual obligation on the part of Lawrence Eagling.
Lawrence Eagling does not accept liability or responsibility for death, bodily injury or illness caused to any clients booking a workshop with Lawrence Eagling unless arising from the negligent act and/or omission of Lawrence Eagling (whilst acting in the course of his employment). Any claims shall be subject to Northern Ireland Law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the Northern Ireland Courts.
Lawrence Eagling does not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by the delay or interruption to travel services through weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods or sickness. Such losses or additional expenses are the responsibility of the customer.
It is highly recommended that all customers obtain the appropriate travel insurance cover before attending a workshop. This insurance should cover the loss, expenses and damages arising from, including but not limited to, the cancellation of the workshop (whether whole or in part), personal accident and injury, medical, delays and loss of belongings.
If the minimum number of bookings required to run a workshop/tour is not met, Lawrence Eagling reserves the right to cancel the workshop/tour. In this case, customers will be notified with at least five days notice and be provided with the option to transfer to a different available date where possible or will receive a full refund. If the tour is cancelled due to other unforeseen circumstance or force majeure (unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather) where advance notice is not possible, then the customer will be provided with the option to transfer to a different available date where possible or will receive a full refund.
By signing the booking for you are agreeing to accept all of the above conditions. The person who signs the booking form does so on behalf of all the individuals included on it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions.
