Larking About – Macro Photography With Birds / by Lawrence Eagling

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity last weekend to accompany a local bird ringing group as they conducted their amazing research. They aim to safely catch, measure and ring as many birds as possible and through this network of volunteers, data on bird growth, movements and ageing can be passed onto scientists monitoring national ecosystems. On this trip, I was fortunate enough to get some really detailed close ups of a beautiful wren whilst the ringing group were taking their measurements. Great opportunity for some macro photography work and thanks again to the Belfast and Down ringing group for this opportunity.
